Dstny - Cloud infrastructure software for enterprise communications

Dstny Analytics is an team of people tasked with building our analytics platform, which presents a wide variety of data sets. These are highly customizable for our customers based on their needs.

This requires a high degree of flexibility in the UI and needs to be flexible and configurable in terms of features and functionality which correspond to our customer’s needs. The components and views can be loaded dynamically and presented in various ways depending on context.

This requires a technically-more-advanced UI for the problem at hand, and a design that allows us to add new features and functions with ease. A different way of visualizing the information, for instance.

The end user experience should still be very intuitive and simple so we withhold the technical complexity from the end users, so they still have a great UX!

The front end is built primarily in Angular and the role requires very good knowledge of Angular and reactive programing, as well as experience around design and application architecture to allow us to build a configurable, maintainable, and scalable user interface for the Dstny Analytics platform back end.

Products, teams and the role

As a lead frontend developer at Dstny Analytics, you are responsible together with the team for the overall design and architecture to make it work now, and in the future.

The rest of the team comprises full stack developers, so as a frontend developer your bigger responsibility is to design the frontend architecture, making sure it’s designed in a way such that developers with lesser frontend skills can still contribute and add features and functions with ease, as well as fix bugs.

One of our goals is to present technical information in a non-technical way, making it understandable for everyone, hence an understanding and interest in visualizing and presenting information in simple yet descriptive ways form a key quality. In addition to that, and since we have a white label offering, the role requires the ability to grasp the abstract concept of a base design with a unique-per-customer design implemented on top of this solution.

We are building a platform where we strive to maximize reuse and utilization of all features we implement in various contexts and environments, hence the design decisions need to be based on a “platform first” mindset.

Whilst we work on a hybrid basis, our office location in Stockholm is as follows: Stockholm office location

Key responsibilities making up the role:

• Join the team using SCRUM as a development process;
• Form a close-knit team with the developers, testers, and product owners;
• Design the overall platform architecture;
• Document in a visual and easy-to-understand way.

Whilst we welcome interest from anyone, we need the person to have the right technical skills whilst being located close enough to the office. We welcome interest from candidates based in Sweden, within a reasonable travelling distance to Stockholm, with a visa for working here.

Furthermore, we are looking for the following:

• A university degree in computer science with 5 years of experience as a developer.
• Be comfortable working with Windows platforms, some Linux and different browsers.
  

Have experience working with the following technologies/tools:

• Angular (latest version)
• RxJS
• NGRX - Redux
• Typescript
• SCSS
• SignalR
• Git
• Scrum
• Plotly.js, D3.js, AntV and other visualization frameworks
• VSCode and Visual Studio
• React (not a hard requirement but meriting)
• Basic .NET, and/or C# are advantageous when it comes to understanding the backend.
