As our installation base continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced R&D DevOps Engineer to join our team and help elevate our customer-focused services to new heights. The emphasis for this role is on the R&D part of DevOps, meaning focusing on deciding the deployment strategies for systems that are managed by the Operations team.

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role both in developing new functionality and automating deployments during the development phases in the development environments. You will collaborate with R&D and Operations teams to enhance deployment automation, improve monitoring, and drive efficiency across our infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• On a daily basis, the DevOps Engineer works with the developers in R&D, helping create and deploy applications in Kubernetes
• Develop micro-services that are required for other applications and services at the framework level
• Automate deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.
• Work closely with R&D and Ops teams to enhance automation and improve existing infrastructure.
• Continuously refine deployment strategies to increase efficiency and minimize errors.
• Identify production issues and develop automated monitoring solutions based on Grafana monitoring stack.
• Help Operations teams to monitor and troubleshoot production environments to ensure high availability and performance.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident analysis to enhance system reliability.
• Collaborate with software developers to optimize infrastructure for new features and applications.

What You Need

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes deployments, using helm / helmchart, Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and GitOps based pipelines on GitLab CI.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring stack based on Grafana stack (Loki, Prometheus and Tempo), and Alertmanager / OpsGenie, experience in working with monitoring systems, building integrations, dashboards and alerts.
• Prior experience in developing and running Java Springboot based microservices.
• Prior experience in running or supporting business critical workloads running on Kubernetes in production environments, addressing the needs for performance and latency, and capacity planning.
• Proficiency in Linux-based infrastructure and scripting for automation.
• Experience in database management (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Familiarity with open-source tools and automation technologies.
• Bonus: Experience in telecommunications (SIP, PBX), virtualization platforms (VMware) and Keycloak and any asynchronous messaging systems, building intrusion detection or prevention systems, building pipelines using Argo CD.
